My love of knitting began while studying art at Ringling School of Art and Design.  Originally a painter, I was captured by the textures, colors, and dimensional possibilities of knitting.  My senior year was consumed with exploring knitting as a sculptural medium.
     After college, I began working in knitting shops, teaching classes, writing patterns, finishing, and absorbing all the tips, tricks and techniques I could.  While I worked in knitting shops I heard many groans as people began the finishing process for their sweaters.  All their joy of choosing a project and knitting with a beautiful yarn had instantly vanished and was replaced with dread and panic.  Time and time again I would see a beautifully knit sweater ruined by rushed and careless finishing.
     Thus, Knits Finished was born! It's a perfect solution; your sweaters are finished with all of my knowledge, experience, and careful attention to detail.  I look forward to working with you and your hand-knits.
